The Atlanta Hawks landed the No. 1 pick for the first time in franchise history despite entering the lottery with the tenth best odds. The Washington Wizards, who had a 14% chance at the top pick alongside the Detroit Pistons, landed the second pick in the upcoming draft. The Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs followed as the Pistons, Charlotte Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers all landed below their expected lottery odds.
